Print Never Dies

by Rasterfield

A long time ago… let’s say more than 10 years ago, when I started and got involved with the Internet industry, I thought printing would disappear soon with people switching to getting information from the Internet. Because we were in the ‘dot com bubble’, we believed that theory about information and how it covered our everyday lives.

One day, we were very close to our dead line. I think it was around 2 in the morning, we worked as hard as humanly as possible for the day. My boss mumbled to himself by the desk “All our work and effort for this project will disappear in a second if someone accidentally presses a ‘delete’ button.” (Of course we did backups). That was the moment I thought how easily all electronic information could disappear.

Now I feel everything printed is precious, whether I did it for myself or someone else’s design. I have a habit of keeping well crafted and beautiful bags and boxes from retailers, shoe shops etc. Half of my room is occupied by these things.
