I have been wondering if I may be the only one that feels awkward when opening up my Mac Power pro every morning. I have tried to lift the display but it also lifts the keyboard as well. I have tried lifting the display while holding the keyboard side. My conclusion is that it needs both hands to open it. And the Mac is on a PUMA shoe box which is probably the wrong thing to do.

We are in a very interesting time of changing our interactive relationships with computers since touch panels have become more popular.
For the last two decades, users have been interacting with mice. They have a mind map relationship between mouse and object in their brain/mind. Simple mouse actions have also been solving complicated problems.

Now users are getting used to physically executing the action directly to the object. User experience and usability will be dramatically shifting to the next stage in terms of interaction on web.

Touch screen will be prevailing faster than mice. It is like you drive a car yourself. The car becomes a part of your body that depends on your decisions.

Having said that a mouse has functions per se, so it will be interesting to see how we can achieve these functions with direct action to the objects.
